Welcome to Camp Co-op, a full day camp for first through sixth graders. Spend the summer exploring nature, learning about the creative process, developing new skills, making friends, and having fun. The camp is open to children entering first grade through sixth grade this fall.
Each week of camp will have a theme, but every week will include the following activities:

The full week’s tuition will be charged if a written cancellation notice is not received by the office via email ehuyck@mcsomaha.org 30 days prior to the first day of the camp week in question.

2 | June 9 – 13 | Melody-Makers Music Camp | Make some noise! This week, we’ll be exploring all things musical. You’ll get to try your hand at writing songs, making your own instruments, and learning a little music history! This week is sure to be (music) noteworthy! |
3 | June 16-20 (No camp on Thursday Juneteenth 6/19) | Mythical Adventures | Let us take you on a magical journey! This week, we’ll be exploring all things fantasy, from mythical creatures to fantasy literature and more! It’s sure to be a fantastical week! |
4 | June 23 –27 | Film Week | Lights, camera, action! Whether you’ve never picked up a camera or you’re a Film Week veteran, we welcome you to this week’s filmmaking experience! This week, you’ll be getting into small groups and jumping right into creating your own short films. We’ll go over a brief history of film, practice acting, make props and costumes, and much more! Let’s get rolling! |
5 | June 30 – July 3 (No camp on Friday July 4th) | Swashbuckler’s Pirate Camp | Argh! Get ready to sail the high seas with us for this week of pirate adventures. We’ll be going on fun scavenger hunts, making treasure maps, and decorating our own pirate accessories. Grab your peg leg and join us! |
6 | July 7 – 11 | Let’s Get Gaming | LeT’s gEt ReAdY tO rUmBLe!!!!! This camp is for everyone with an interest in having fun. Mornings, we’re going to test our cooperation and curiosity with outside games that need teams. In the afternoons we’ll cool off our bodies and challenge our brains to invent card games and board games to play with our friends! |
7 | July 14 –18 | Film Week 2: The Retake | Due to popular demand, we’re giving Film Week a second run this year! For anyone who couldn’t attend the first one or who just want to jump right back into making another film, this is for you! This camp will be the same as the first Film Week, but for those who just so happen to attend both, we’ll throw in some fun challenges to keep things fresh! Let’s get rolling- again! |
8 | July 21 – 25 | Center Stage Theatre Camp | Break a Leg! (Not really) Join our troupe for theatrical activities that bring people closer together and remind us that while life is a performance, it’s most fun among friends. We will go through the basics of theatre as a group and then collaborate to put on our very own show to perform for parents and students! Please, take a seat. |
9 | July 28 August 1 | The Co-op Carnival | Step right up and get ready for a week full of fun, games, and carnival delights! This week, you’ll be teaming up to create fun games and attractions for the annual summer Co-op Carnival! Whether it’s ring toss or face painting, there’s something for everyone. We hope to see you there! |
10 | August 4-8 | The Wonders of Space | This year we will narrow our scientific attention down to the wide wide world of Outer Space. Enjoy learning a brief history of human space travel, replicating our own starships, and contemplating life on Mars. This pop culture camp will touch on some of the music, television, movies and fashion based on the concept of our galaxy. |
